Pakistan security forces killed four terrorists, including Afghan national Ubaidullah Saad, during an intelligence-based operation in the Kurram district on September 8, 2026. Saad, a resident of Logar province in Afghanistan, was affiliated with the Fitna al-Khawarij group and was reportedly involved in multiple terrorist activities within Pakistan.
These operations occur amid ongoing counter-terrorism efforts along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Security officials stated that operations against anti-state elements infiltrating from Afghanistan will continue.
In a separate incident, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) killed five militants, including a key commander, during an operation near Shamsto Camp in Peshawar. The group, affiliated with Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP), was allegedly planning attacks against sensitive institutions, churches, and imambargahs.
