Pakistan Security Forces Kill Militants in Bannu Operation

Pakistan’s military announced that an intelligence‑driven operation in the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa resulted in the death of militants linked to the Fitna al‑Khwarij network. The Inter‑Services Public Relations (ISPR) said 24 militants were killed, weapons and ammunition were recovered, and the raid was part of the broader "Azm‑e‑Istehkam" counter‑terrorism campaign.

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) reported a separate but related clash in which five suspected militants were killed and several escaped, prompting continued searches in the area. No casualties among security personnel were reported, and the operation followed recent attacks on police and a vehicle‑borne suicide bomb in Bannu.
