Pakistan suicide bombing kills at least 11 at police checkpoint FAST-MOVING

A suicide bombing targeting a joint police and customs checkpoint in the Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, has resulted in significant casualties. The attack occurred at the Aman Mela checkpoint near Darazinda, where a vehicle laden with explosives was rammed into the post.

Casualty reports vary slightly across sources, with death tolls cited between 11 and 13 people, and approximately 30 to 35 others injured. The deceased include security personnel, customs officials, and civilians, including women and children. Many of the injured are reported to be in critical condition.

The Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the attack. The explosion caused extensive damage to the checkpoint and destroyed a nearby house. Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched search operations in the aftermath of the blast.
