The Pakistan Army has successfully test-fired the Fatah-2 Extended Range (ER) missile, a hypersonic ballistic weapon designed to enhance the country’s long-range strike capabilities. The test took place on Tuesday, October 13.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the missile is equipped with advanced navigation systems and modern avionics. The military stated that the Fatah-2 ER is capable of engaging targets with high precision and is designed to overcome enemy missile defense systems through its unique trajectory and maneuverability. While the military highlighted the system's ability to strike targets at extended distances, specific technical details such as the maximum range and precise test location were not disclosed.
The launch was witnessed by Lieutenant General Nauman Zakaria, Commander of the Army Rocket Force Command, alongside senior officers, scientists, and engineers.
