Pakistani security forces kill five militants in Balochistan

Pakistani security forces killed five militants and wounded four others during an intelligence-based operation in the Washuk district of Balochistan province. The operation, identified as ‘Rad-ul-Fitna 3’, targeted a hideout in the Palantak area.

Authorities reported that the slain militants belonged to the group Fitna al-Hindustan and were allegedly involved in extortion, looting, and spreading fear within the region. During the raid, security personnel seized various items, including an RPG-7, explosive materials, ammunition, modern firearms, mobile phones, and motorcycles.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the operation, stating that such actions demonstrate a ‘unwavering national resolve against terrorists’ and affirming that operations will continue until terrorism is completely eradicated. The incident follows a recent uptick in violence in Balochistan, where separatist groups have targeted infrastructure, construction sites, and security personnel.
