Pakistan's Balochistan operation kills 109 terrorists amid laborer deaths

Security forces in Pakistan's Balochistan province have reported a total of 109 terrorists killed since July 5, including 71 during the ongoing Operation Shaban launched on July 7. The joint operation involves the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps and Balochistan Police and targets Baloch separatist groups and Tehreek‑i‑Taliban Pakistan militants.

In the Washuk district near the Pakistan‑Iran border, five Punjabi labourers were shot dead in Mashkel town when armed terrorists on motorcycles opened fire on the shop where they worked. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the attack as "barbaric and cowardly," and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for protecting national security. The operation continues with ground and air actions, and officials say it aims to eradicate terrorism and restore stability in the province.
