Pakistan's cross‑border attacks on Afghanistan draw Indian condemnation

Pakistan carried out air and ground strikes inside Afghanistan, targeting locations it said housed terrorist groups. The attacks, conducted on the night of June 28‑29, killed at least 36 civilians and left more than 160 injured, including women and children.

India’s foreign ministry condemned the strikes as a violation of Afghanistan’s sovereignty and a direct threat to regional stability. New Delhi accused Pakistan of using cross‑border violence to distract from domestic problems and expressed sympathy for the victims’ families while reaffirming support for Afghanistan’s territorial integrity.
