Pakistan’s Ishaq Dar Discusses Gaza Diplomacy with Egypt, Jordan

Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held telephone conversations with Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi to coordinate Arab‑Islamic diplomatic efforts on the Gaza crisis.

The officials expressed grave concern over Israel’s military operations in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, escalating settler violence and repeated incursions at Jerusalem’s Al‑Aqsa Mosque compound. They condemned the actions, called for an immediate end to hostilities, unhindered humanitarian assistance and full respect for international law.

During the talks the ministers examined Jordan’s proposal to convene an emergency meeting of Arab and Islamic countries to present a unified diplomatic response, reaffirm support for a two‑state solution based on pre‑1967 borders and endorse East Jerusalem as the capital of a future Palestinian state.
