Pakistan military rejects India's 'Operation Sindoor' documentary as propaganda

Pakistan's military media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), has rejected a new Indian documentary regarding 'Operation Sindoor,' accusing New Delhi of producing 'Bollywood-style' propaganda. The ISPR claims the production uses cinematic reconstructions, emotional narration, and selectively edited interviews to portray the May 2025 military conflict as a total success, despite what Pakistan describes as a failed venture.

Pakistan refers to the 2025 confrontation as 'Marka-i-Haq.' The ISPR disputes India's claim of '100 per cent mission success,' asserting that Pakistani forces repelled attacks and shot down eight Indian military aircraft. Pakistan also detailed its own counteroffensive, 'Operation Bunyanum Marsoos,' which targeted 26 military objectives using precision munitions and rockets.

The military highlighted perceived contradictions in the documentary's timeline. Specifically, they noted that while the film presents Operation Sindoor as a response to the April 22 Pahalgam attack, India later claimed the perpetrators were only identified and eliminated on July 28, 2025—over two months after the operation in question. The conflict reportedly concluded following a US-facilitated ceasefire agreement.
