Paúl Polakis launches personal attacks on Greek politicians

Syriza MP Paúl Polakis mounted a public verbal offensive against PASOK MEP Nikolás Farandouris, calling him a “fellow” and a “gyrologo” and demanding he “turn around the seat” he won on the Syriza list. Polakis framed the criticism around Farandouris’s comments on the departure of former Syriza leader Sokratis Famelos from the party.

Later, Polakis turned his rhetoric toward Culture Minister Lina Mendoni, linking her to the controversial KELPNO agency and accusing her of treating cultural heritage as a commodity. He shouted “others await KELPNO, not me” and demanded the minister’s resignation, reiterating his attacks both inside and outside the parliamentary chamber.
