Palantir and Nvidia unveil portable AI data center

Palantir Technologies and Nvidia have partnered to introduce a ‘Sovereign AI Operating System,’ a portable AI data center housed within a shipping container. This modular system is designed for rapid deployment in diverse environments, such as corporate headquarters, hospitals, or military bases.

The hardware configuration includes eight Nvidia Blackwell Ultra GPUs, providing over 2 terabytes of high-speed GPU memory, alongside Nvidia’s Spectrum-X networking. This setup allows organizations to run sophisticated AI models using their own proprietary data locally, reducing the need to rely on distant cloud providers and enhancing data privacy and security.
