Nvidia Blackwell GPU technology deployment
Overview
Nvidia has expanded the deployment of its Blackwell GPU technology through both portable hardware solutions and specialized cloud services.
In August, Palantir Technologies and Nvidia introduced a ‘Sovereign AI Operating System,’ which consists of a portable AI data center housed in a shipping container. This modular system, featuring eight Nvidia Blackwell Ultra GPUs, is intended for rapid deployment in locations such as military bases, hospitals, or corporate headquarters to allow for local processing of proprietary data.
By September, Nvidia Blackwell infrastructure saw further deployment in Asia. In Taiwan, Signo Technology and GMI Cloud partnered to deploy 72 NVIDIA HGX B300 systems to support large-scale AI language model training and high-performance computing. Simultaneously, in Japan, NTTPC Communications launched a GPU cloud service utilizing NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs. This service is optimized for ‘Physical AI,’ robotics, and digital twin development through platforms like NVIDIA Omniverse.
