Palazzo Ducale announces new art exhibitions and educational programs

The Fondazione Palazzo Ducale in Genoa has announced upcoming cultural programming, including educational initiatives for the “World Press Photo 2026” exhibition and a major art exhibition featuring the Scharf Collection.

Educational programs for the World Press Photo exhibition are designed for various school levels. These include a “World Fake Photo” workshop to help students distinguish between real reportage and AI-generated imagery, and a “Rights Out of Frame” program that uses photography to explore themes of childhood, adolescence, and education rights in connection with UN conventions.

Additionally, from October 16 to May 2, 2027, the Palazzo Ducale will host “Renoir, Monet, Toulouse-Lautrec, Cézanne - 200 years of art from the Scharf Collection.” This exhibition marks the first time in Italy that over 140 masterpieces from this private German collection will be displayed. The collection spans from Goya and Realism to Impressionism, Cubism, and contemporary art, featuring works by artists such as Matisse, Picasso, and Léger.
