Palermo FC targets Serie A promotion with City Football Group backing

Palermo FC CEO Giovanni Gardini has outlined a long-term strategic project backed by City Football Group, with the primary goal of securing promotion to Serie A. Following a recent international tour in Australia, Gardini confirmed that investments have already reached 150 million euros to build a solid foundation for the club.

A key pillar of this development is infrastructure. Following the construction of a new training center, the club is focusing on the renovation of the Stadio Renzo Barbera. The project, which aims to lay the first stone in 2027, envisions a football-dedicated stadium and is considered a potential venue for Euro 2032.

On the pitch, Palermo is preparing for its first official seasonal commitment in the Coppa Italia against Lecce. The match will be held at the Stadio Renzo Barbera, marking the beginning of the competitive season for both clubs.
