Palermo to host 2026 National Congress of Administrative Lawyers

Palermo will host the 2026 National Congress of the National Union of Administrative Lawyers (UNAA) on October 23 and 24. The event is organized by the Association of Administrative Lawyers of Sicily and will take place at the Teatro Massimo and Palazzo dei Normanni.

Italian President Sergio Mattarella is scheduled to attend the opening session at the Teatro Massimo. The congress will bring together administrative lawyers from across Italy, along with representatives from the judiciary, academia, and the State Advocacy.

The central theme focuses on the role of the administrative lawyer regarding procedural rules, constitutional values, and supranational norms. Discussions will cover contemporary issues such as artificial intelligence, ecological transition, administrative efficiency, and the relationship between national constitutions and European integration.
