Palestine faces heatwave as hot dry air mass raises temperatures
The Palestinian Meteorological Department warned that a hot, dry air mass will dominate the region from the night of July 13 through July 15, pushing daily temperatures 3‑6 °C above the annual average. Forecasts show continued severe heat across most areas, with wind shifts from west‑northwest to south‑west and moderate sea‑state conditions.
Officials urged citizens to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. and to refrain from lighting fires in dry, vegetated areas due to heightened wildfire risk.
