Palestine weather forecast predicts rising temperatures and heatwave

The Palestinian Meteorological Department has forecasted a significant rise in temperatures across the region following a period of normal summer weather. While Tuesday is expected to remain partially cloudy with temperatures near the annual average, a heatwave is projected to begin on Wednesday.

By Thursday, temperatures are expected to rise approximately 4 to 5 degrees Celsius above the annual average, with intense heat affecting most areas. This high-temperature trend is expected to persist through Friday.

Authorities have issued warnings for residents, particularly in Jericho and the Jordan Valley, to avoid prolonged direct sun exposure during peak hours between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Additional warnings include the danger of starting fires in areas with dry grass and the risk of leaving children or the elderly in enclosed vehicles. Residents are advised to increase their intake of water and fluids.
