Palestinian authority reports 2,030 attacks in August

The Wall Resistance and Settlement Against reported that Israeli forces and settlers carried out 2,030 attacks against Palestinians and their property during the month of August. Of these, 1,402 were attributed to the Israeli military and 628 to settlers.

Attacks were concentrated in several governorates, with Nablus recording 380 incidents, followed by Ramallah and Al-Bireh with 353, Hebron with 275, Bethlehem with 239, Jenin with 230, and Jerusalem with 194. The report noted that settler violence resulted in direct harm to 164 citizens and the destruction of 21,508 trees, including 19,375 olive trees.

Additional impacts included the seizure of approximately 1,629 dunams of land, the demolition of 155 facilities, and 44 demolition notices. The organization highlighted that these actions, including shootings and the destruction of agricultural resources, aim to undermine Palestinian presence on the land. One specific incident on August 21 resulted in the death of 17-year-old Karim Sanad Shalaldeh following settler gunfire.
