Palestinian Cabinet calls for international action against occupation

The Palestinian Cabinet has called for increased international collective action to halt Israeli occupation crimes and initiate a serious political process to end the occupation. The Cabinet highlighted recent escalations, noting 440 attacks and the demolition of approximately 70 Palestinian facilities in the past week alone.

Referencing a report by B'Tselem, the Cabinet warned of efforts to erase Palestinian presence in the West Bank through violence, forced displacement, movement restrictions, and economic strangulation. Additionally, the Cabinet expressed grave concern regarding the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, citing ongoing starvation, siege, and the destruction of essential infrastructure like sewage networks, which increases the risk of disease.

On domestic matters, the Cabinet discussed unsatisfactory PISA 2025 education results in science, mathematics, and reading, pledging to review weaknesses to improve educational quality. The Cabinet also approved the National Food Safety Strategy 2026–2030 and discussed governance reforms within the economic sector.
