Palestinian convoy visits Bosnia, linking Srebrenica genocide to Gaza crisis

A Palestine Convoy Organisation Team arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina from July 25 to July 27, 2026, with around 60 participants. The central programme, titled “From Srebrenica to Gaza: From one genocide to another”, was held first at the Memorial Centre in Srebrenica‑Potočari and later in Sarajevo, featuring a walk through the city and a media statement at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. After the events, the convoy was to be symbolically escorted to Tirana, Albania.

The Palestinian community in Bosnia issued a warning about the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip, citing Palestinian Ministry of Health figures that since the cease‑fire on 11 October more than 1,180 people have been killed and 3,810 injured, and total casualties since 7 October exceed 73,000 deaths and 173,000 injuries. Rescue capacity in Gaza has collapsed to roughly 25 % of its former level. The statement called on the United Nations, the International Red Cross, the European Union and other actors to ensure safe delivery of aid, medical supplies and protection for civilians.
