Palestinian Front denounces Trump‑backed peace council report as falsehood

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (FPLP) issued a statement condemning a report released by the "Peace Council" created by U.S. President Donald Trump in January 2026. The party said the document deliberately hides the identity of the aggressor, blames Palestinian militias for the failure of the peace process, and seeks to justify new Israeli attacks.

Quoting the statement, the FPLP said, “Mientras la ocupación fascista sigue violando los acuerdos mediante asesinatos diarios y bombardeos continuos… el informe ocultó deliberadamente la identidad del agresor.” The group also accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the United States of obstructing reconstruction efforts in Gaza and of supporting a narrative that ignores UN findings of ethnic cleansing and genocide.

The council, founded at the World Economic Forum in Davos, was presented as a mechanism to supervise Gaza’s rebuilding, but international analysts and diplomats have expressed deep skepticism, arguing it undermines multilateral institutions such as the United Nations.
