Palestinian man killed by Israeli fire near Jenin

Israeli military operations in the West Bank and Gaza Strip resulted in multiple casualties and increased tensions on Sunday. In the West Bank, 32-year-old Sami Hassan Hussein Zawaideh was killed by gunfire near the abandoned Ganem settlement east of Jenin. Local reports indicate Israeli forces opened fire on a vehicle containing two men, alleging an attempted car-ramming attack against soldiers. The driver was killed, while the passenger was detained. Israeli forces subsequently established a security cordon and blocked access to the site for medical crews.

In the Gaza Strip, several civilians, including a woman and two children, were injured by Israeli gunfire and drone strikes in various locations, including Khan Younis and Jabalia. Medical sources reported that the total death toll in Gaza has reached 73,910 since the beginning of the current hostilities, with 174,935 injuries recorded.

Additional military activity included raids in several West Bank villages, road closures, and the detention of multiple individuals. In Gaza, Israeli naval vessels also reportedly fired upon fishermen near the Al-Zahra beach area.
