Palestinian students and stories highlighted in Italian cultural initiatives

Cultural and academic initiatives in Italy are focusing on Palestinian voices and students. At the University for Foreigners of Siena, the theatrical project ‘Palestinesi sono i tuoi occhi’ (Palestinians are your eyes) was staged. The performance, which took place simultaneously in various countries including Mexico and Gaza, features six stories written by four young Palestinian authors. The event involved Italian and Palestinian students and aimed to provide a platform for Palestinian voices through artistic resistance.

In another development, Muhannad, a 22-year-old Palestinian living in Gaza, has been admitted to the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio to study Economics with Data Science. Despite losing his family and facing extreme hardships, he is seeking to continue his education in Italy. The association Messina in Progresso is organizing a meeting to discuss how the community can provide concrete support for his academic journey.
