The tally includes 20,647 students and 1,054 teachers and staff, with extensive damage to education infrastructure: over 179 public schools in Gaza, more than 105 UNRWA‑run schools, and more than 63 university buildings have been destroyed. In the West Bank, nine universities and multiple schools have been repeatedly raided and damaged.

In Gaza, 1,379 university students are among the dead, while 31,436 students have been injured and 4,784 education workers wounded. The West Bank saw 128 high‑school pupils and 39 university students killed, 861 pupils and over 278 university students injured, and 421 pupils and 487 university students detained. Overall, hundreds of teachers and university staff have also been killed, injured or held in custody.
