EXPO 2027 Caravan brings Pavilion of Games to Subotica and Palić

The EXPO 2027 Belgrade ‘Expo Caravan’ brought its ‘Pavilion of Games’ program to Subotica and Palić to introduce citizens to the upcoming specialized exhibition. The initiative aims to travel across Serbia to connect local populations with the themes and programming of the international event scheduled for next year.

In Subotica, activities held at Freedom Square included children's choirs, accordion performances, traditional dance, puppet theater, and public drawing lessons. The program also featured various sports demonstrations, such as wrestling, karate, tennis, football, volleyball, and weightlifting, under the theme ‘Play(ing) for Humanity: Sport and Music for All’.

In Palić, the program focused on the region's natural and cultural heritage, featuring musical performances by groups such as ‘Talentum’ and the ‘Pro Musica’ chamber choir. Educational workshops regarding protected animal species were provided by the Palić Zoo, while local sports clubs, including rowing and sailing clubs, showcased athletic skills. Uroš Ranković, Director of the Program and Content Sector for EXPO 2027, stated that the caravan's goal is to ensure all Serbian cities understand how their local culture and traditions can connect with the world through the exhibition.
