Palma driver investigated after drunk driving crash

A 47-year-old man is under investigation by the Palma Local Police after crashing his vehicle into a construction fence on the Sóller road. The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. on a Sunday.

Following the collision, the driver continued driving despite significant damage to his vehicle and a broken oil pan, which left a trail of oil on the roadway. He eventually stopped at the roadside near IES Son Pacs. Police testing revealed a blood alcohol level of 0.85, more than triple the legal limit. The driver faces investigation for a crime against road safety, and his vehicle has been impounded.
