Pampilhosa da Serra Children’s Summer Camp Brings Unity and Adventure

Around 70 children from the Pampilhosa da Serra and Dornelas do Zêzere groups spent two days, July 23‑24, at the Eira da Brincadeira camp in the villages of Fajão and Ponte de Fajão. Activities included a visit to an old mill, river‑side play, traditional games, and a stone‑painting workshop. In the evening the campers explored the Geoscope kiosk and the Dome observation point, followed by a guided night‑sky session led by Samuel Batista.

The following morning the children enjoyed roller‑cart descents, swimming in the village pool and other outdoor games, fostering friendship and teamwork. The event was supported by the local parish council, the CLDS 5G Pampilhosa da Serra project and volunteers from the senior Eira da Brincadeira group, highlighting community cooperation and the value of local traditions.
