PAN begins dissolution of state leadership in Coahuila

The National Executive Committee of the National Action Party (PAN) has formally initiated the process to dissolve the state leadership and Permanent Commission in Coahuila, Mexico. This decision follows the results of the June 7 elections, where the party failed to meet the 3 percent minimum vote threshold required to maintain its state registration and local public financing.

Official data shows the PAN received 27,819 votes, representing only 2.29 percent of the total, and failed to secure any elected offices. Due to the loss of local funding, the national leadership determined that the state structure lacks the financial autonomy necessary to sustain operations. Consequently, the current state leadership will be replaced by a Delegation reporting directly to the national leadership.
