Pan Global Resources expands gold zone at Providencia, Spain
Pan Global Resources (TSX‑V: PGZ) announced that near‑surface gold mineralisation at the Providencia target of its Cármenes Project in northern Spain has been extended beyond historic mine workings. Surface channel sampling identified a continuous 80‑metre zone averaging 2.36 g/t Au, including higher‑grade sub‑intervals of 23 m @ 3.21 g/t, 8 m @ 7.40 g/t and 5 m @ 20.18 g/t. Underground sampling on the 1,438 m level returned 9 m with 0.25 g/t Au together with 2.40 % Cu, 0.83 % Ni and 0.27 % Co. CEO Tim Moody said the results indicate a larger gold system that widens with depth and remains open laterally and vertically. Six of eight planned diamond‑drill holes have been completed, with assay results pending, and the company will continue drilling and deeper channel sampling.
The findings suggest significant potential for expanding the discovery both laterally and at depth, reinforcing Pan Global’s view of Providencia as a substantial gold‑rich breccia system.
