Gold exploration drill updates

Overview

In late July 2026 two junior miners released new drilling and sampling results that highlight expanding gold potential at separate projects.

Spanish Mountain Gold announced that its 2026 drilling program at the Spanish Mountain project in British Columbia intersected extensive high‑grade zones, including a 252 m interval averaging 0.82 g/t Au and several shorter higher‑grade sections. The company has completed about 31 % of its planned 60,000 m of drilling and is moving toward a feasibility study aimed at a 2028 investment decision for mine construction.

A few days later Pan Global Resources reported that near‑surface gold mineralisation at the Providencia target of its Cármenes Project in northern Spain has been extended beyond historic workings. Surface channel sampling identified an 80‑m zone averaging 2.36 g/t Au with higher‑grade sub‑intervals, and underground sampling also returned gold alongside notable copper, nickel and cobalt values. Six of eight planned diamond‑drill holes have been completed, with assay results pending, and the company plans further drilling and deeper sampling.

Both companies view the new data as evidence that their respective gold systems are larger and remain open both laterally and at depth, prompting continued exploration and advancement toward potential development.
