Chihuahua Governor delivers cochlear implants to residents
Governor Maru Campos led an initiative to deliver and install cochlear implant processors at the Special Education and Rehabilitation Center (CREE) in Chihuahua. Supported by the State DIF, the program provides hearing assistance to children and adults across various municipalities, including Chihuahua, Juárez, and Delicias.
According to María Eugenia Galván Antillón, president of the State DIF, the administration has provided over 22,723 functional supports throughout the state. Specifically, 861 cochlear implants, each valued at over 350,000 pesos, have been delivered over the last five years.
In separate regional news, Cruz Pérez Cuéllar, a Morena official, held an informative assembly in Ojinaga to criticize the state government for neglecting the region and failing to invest in infrastructure to connect the area with Texas. Additionally, local deputy Jorge Soto met with residents of the Villa Nueva neighborhood to discuss community needs such as water, security, and mobility.
