PAN Tamaulipas begins leadership transition for 2027 elections
The National Action Party (PAN) in Tamaulipas has officially begun the transition process for its new state leadership. Gloria Garza Jiménez has been elected to serve as President, while César Augusto Verástegui Ostos, known as ‘El Truko’, will take on the role of General Secretary.
The incoming leadership has identified its primary objectives as reorganizing party bases, strengthening municipal structures, and recovering territorial presence in preparation for the 2027 elections. Garza Jiménez emphasized that the reconstruction of the party will be a collective effort involving direct participation from the party's members to strengthen its political identity and presence.
Simultaneously, the outgoing president, Luis René Cantú Galván, known as ‘El Cachorro’, has begun the formal handover process. Cantú Galván visited the state headquarters to bid farewell to his team and expressed his intention to remain an ally to the party and the community of Reynosa.
