Panama President Mulino presides over graduation of 774 security agents
Panamanian President José Raúl Mulino presided over a graduation ceremony for 774 new security agents on Monday. The group includes 731 new officers from the National Police (PN) and 43 from the National Migration Service (SNM).
The National Police graduates, known as the 103rd ‘Legionarios’ promotion, completed six months of academic, physical, and police training at the President Belisario Porras Higher Police Institute. The SNM agents received specialized training in migration control and security at national entry and exit points.
This marks the fifth graduation under the current administration, which has added more than 3,000 new police officers to the service. During the ceremony, President Mulino urged the new officers to reinforce security and prevent crime while respecting human rights. He emphasized the need for results, calling for safe streets and a security force that is respectful to citizens but firm against criminals.
