Panama President Mulino to attend Keiko Fujimori's inauguration, revive trade pact

Panama President José Raúl Mulino and Peru’s president‑elect Keiko Fujimori held a video conference in which they agreed to give new impetus to the Panama‑Peru Free Trade Agreement, aiming to expand commercial exchange and mutual benefits.

Fujimori invited Mulino to attend her inauguration ceremony on 28 July in Lima, and Mulino confirmed his participation, joking about “ceviche and a drink.” He also extended an invitation to Fujimori to join the International Economic Forum for Latin America and the Caribbean, scheduled for January 2027 in Panama City.
