Panasonic Sets 50% Annual Growth Target for Vietnam Residential Solar
Panasonic Electric Works Vietnam announced a plan to expand its rooftop solar solutions for households and small businesses, aiming for a 50 % year‑on‑year increase in sales. The rollout begins in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern region and will extend nationwide, supported by new distribution agreements with Thuận Phong and Lê Gia for the north and central markets.
The company will market its “Anchor by Panasonic” panels, featuring N‑Type TOPCon cells with 23.1 % efficiency, bifacial design and a 30‑year performance guarantee. Panasonic emphasizes Japanese‑grade quality and a 30‑year warranty on output, positioning the products as a stable ROI for middle‑income homeowners and property owners.
The initiative aligns with Vietnam’s policy goal that 50 % of homes have rooftop solar by 2030. Analysts note that widespread adoption will depend on supportive policies and the integration of battery storage (BESS) to improve economic viability. Panasonic’s local factory in Bình Dương, which expanded capacity in 2024, will supply the new panels.
