Pangyo hosts GXG 2026 game culture festival and indie game expo
The GXG 2026 game culture festival and the 'IndieCraft' exhibition have opened in Pangyo, South Korea. Organized by Seongnam City, the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency, and the Game Culture Foundation, the two-day event focuses on the expansion of gaming into music, art, and technology.
Key features of the festival include the 'IndieCraft' exhibition, which showcases 51 live booths from selected developers, and a special Brazilian pavilion introducing four indie games. The event also includes a user feedback evaluation (FGT) to help select the top three domestic works.
In conjunction with the cultural festivities, the '2026 Connect Fair: K-Game Export Consultation' is being held to support small and medium-sized domestic game companies. Approximately 80 Korean developers are participating in 1:1 business meetings with 30 global investors and publishers from countries including Japan, China, Taiwan, and the United States.
