Panhellenic Association of Exporters submits ‘Brand Greece 2030’ plan

The Panhellenic Association of Exporters (PSE) has submitted a strategic roadmap titled ‘Brand Greece 2030’ to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The plan, consisting of 50 specific interventions, aims to strengthen Greece's export-oriented economy through 2030. The PSE represents companies accounting for approximately 70% of the nation's total exports.

The proposal comes following strong performance in the first half of 2026, during which Greek goods exports reached 27.63 billion euros, a 14.6% increase and the highest semi-annual level in three years. Excluding petroleum products, exports rose to 20.06 billion euros, a 6.9% increase. During this period, the trade deficit decreased by 5%, and the import coverage ratio improved from 58.8% to 63.3%.

Despite these gains, the PSE emphasizes that the primary obstacles to growth are not market-related but administrative. The association is calling for increased speed in execution, improved liquidity, and the reduction of bureaucracy, which they describe as an ‘invisible tax’ on Greek production. The plan was presented ahead of the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair.
