Panini Comics blends Marvel Universe with gastronomy in new series

Panini Comics is launching a new comic anthology series titled ‘Spider-Man: Meals to Astonish – Cucina Da Eroi’, which blends the Marvel Universe with high-end gastronomy. Set to debut at Lucca Comics & Games 2026, the project features Italian chef Cristiano Tomei, who will appear in a story titled ‘L’imbuto del caos’ alongside Iron Man.

The anthology includes artwork by Peach Momoko and Gabriele Dell’Otto. This initiative follows the success of previous installments in the ‘Meals to Astonish’ series. In the latest release, ‘Meals To Astonish: Avengers #1’, chef and humanitarian José Andrés teams up with Marvel’s heroes to highlight the mission of World Central Kitchen, an organization dedicated to providing food and nourishment to communities facing crises globally.
