PAOK beats Belgian side Beveren 4-1 in Dutch pre‑season friendly

Greek club PAOK opened its 2024‑25 preparations with a 4-1 friendly win over Belgium's Beveren in Zaltbommel, Netherlands. New head coach Aleš Lis oversaw the match, rotating his squad and giving several academy players minutes. Goals came from Χρήστος Ζαφείρης (two), with an assist from Γιάννης Κωνσταντέλιας, a strike by Γιάννης Μύθου and a late finish by Δημήτρης Πέλκας. The side also recorded a corner‑kick goal by Κωνσταντέλιας in the first half. Several regulars, including Παβλένκα, Μεϊτέ, Ντεσπόντοφ, Σορετίρε and Χατσίδης, missed the game due to injury or precautionary reasons.
