PAOK defeats Aris 2-0 to climb to second place
PAOK secured a significant 2-0 victory against rivals Aris, a result that helped stabilize the club following recent setbacks including European elimination and the sale of Konstantelias. The win, achieved at Toumba Stadium, moved the team into second place in the standings.
Captain Andrija Živković played a pivotal role, scoring in the 42nd minute to mark PAOK's 100th home goal against Aris since their promotion to the First Division. Živković has now reached 69 goals in 285 appearances for the club. Coach Alessio Lisci praised the Serbian winger's leadership and competitive character, noting his importance in the locker room.
The victory was characterized by high efficiency and a unified effort from the squad to reverse a period of negative psychological momentum within the club.
