PAOK FC unveils plans for New Toumpa Stadium
PAOK FC has presented the technical design and progress for the New Toumpa Stadium project. The new arena is expected to have a capacity of between 34,000 and 35,000 spectators, with approximately 31,000 general seats and 7% dedicated to hospitality and special categories.
A key architectural feature is the North Stand, designed as a continuous “Fan Wall” with 8,700 seats to create a unified atmosphere for organized supporters. The design aims to bring stands up to 24 meters closer to the pitch to enhance the stadium's intensity. Other technical highlights include a specialized roof designed to retain sound, solar panels, and bioclimatic elements.
The project timeline aims for the submission of building permit applications by the end of 2026. If approved, construction is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2027, with an estimated completion time of 40 months. The project involves specialized firms including Salfo and Populous, focusing on rapid assembly through prefabricated elements and ensuring seismic stability.
