PAOK signs Swedish winger Taha Ali to 2029 contract

Greek club PAOK announced the signing of 28‑year‑old Swedish left winger Taha Ali. The player arrived at Thessaloniki’s Macedonia Airport from Copenhagen on 13 July, completed medical and fitness examinations and then signed a three‑year contract that runs until 30 June 2029. The deal is PAOK’s third transfer in the current window after the arrivals of Eloustondo and Santamaria.

Ali, who began his career in Spånga and played for Malmö before moving to clubs in the Netherlands and Denmark, earned his first senior cap for Sweden in January 2024, assisting the winning goal against Estonia. He was also part of Sweden’s squad for the 2026 World Cup, debuting in the tournament against the Netherlands. Known for his explosive acceleration, dribbling and ability to play on both wings, Ali is expected to boost PAOK’s attacking options for the upcoming season.
