PAOK suffers 3-1 home defeat against Kalamata

PAOK suffered a significant 3-1 home defeat against Kalamata in the sixth round of the championship. The loss has raised concerns regarding the team's defensive stability, as it marks the fourth time this season the club has conceded three goals in a single match. Despite the return of key players, the team appeared disconnected and lacked tactical direction under coach Alessio Lisca.

The match was also marked by officiating controversies involving the VAR system. A critical moment occurred in the 44th minute when a potential offensive foul by Pelkas against Pineiro was not reviewed by VAR, allowing PAOK to equalize shortly after. Conversely, the refereeing team correctly handled a penalty awarded to Kalamata and a subsequent red card for the PAOK goalkeeper following a VAR review.

Before the match, PAOK sat three points behind the leaders, with a victory potentially placing them at the top of the table alongside Panathinaikos. Kalamata, competing in the top flight after a 25-year absence, continues to show determination in their bid for league survival.
