On Tuesday, 7 July 2026, Greek club PAOK continued its pre‑season camp in the Netherlands by defeating Cypriot side AEK Larnaca 3‑2 at the Zaltbommel training centre. Goals came from Giorgos Hatzidis (32′), Anton Jeremegeff (59′) and Brazilian forward Taison (74′) after the visitors had taken the lead through Ivanović (17′) and equalised via Iouannou (62′).

The win marked PAOK’s third successive friendly victory in the Dutch camp, following 4‑1 over Bayer Beveren and 4‑0 over Vesterlo. Coach Alessio Lisci used the match to test squad depth; several first‑team players were unavailable due to injuries, notably midfielder Giannis Sarri (torn ACL) and forward Fyodor Chalov (meniscus surgery). Other regulars such as Souhail Meité, Sola Soreti re, Gigi Pavlenca and Kirill Despontov also missed the game.

Lisci rotated the line‑up, giving opportunities to newcomers and allowing the team to experiment with tactical setups ahead of the upcoming Europa League qualifiers.
