PAOK veterans call for unity following Konstantelias transfer

The PAOK Veterans Footballers Association has issued a statement regarding the recent transfer of Giannis Konstantelias to Borussia Dortmund and the upcoming start of the football season.

The association described Konstantelias as one of the most significant players developed by PAOK, noting that his move to one of Europe’s top leagues serves as positive publicity for both the club and Greek football. The veterans emphasized that PAOK is now a club capable of producing talent sought after by major European teams.

In light of the transfer and the team’s upcoming European match against SK Brann, the association called for unity. They expressed explicit support for the club’s management, owner Ivan Savvidis, the players, and the coaching staff. The statement urged supporters to reject “divisive and extreme views” that have been present for nearly a year, stressing that the club’s success depends on collective solidarity.
