Pape Thiaw demands $747,000 from Senegal FA
Former Senegal head coach Pape Bouna Thiaw has issued an eight-day ultimatum to the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF), demanding approximately $747,000 in unpaid salaries, bonuses, and expenses.
Thiaw’s legal representatives served the federation with a formal notice following the decision on July 11 to begin terminating his contract and that of his technical staff. The claim includes roughly $317,000 in unpaid wages for the period between March and August, as well as $158,000 in outstanding signing bonuses and $52,000 in special contractual bonuses.
Additionally, Thiaw is seeking reimbursement for housing allowances, fuel, and approximately $18,500 in personal expenses he allegedly covered. The demand also includes $176,000 in bonuses related to the team’s Africa Cup of Nations campaign and their qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. FSF President Abdoulaye Fall previously stated that the relationship between the coach and the federation had broken down.
