Papeete port becomes a premier gateway for South Pacific cruise tourism

Papeete, the capital of French Polynesia, serves as the main gateway for cruise itineraries across the South Pacific. The modest port handles visits from major cruise lines such as Norwegian Cruise Line, Princess Cruises and Royal Caribbean, and acts as the departure and arrival point for luxury operators including Ponant, Silversea and Windstar.
