Paraíba rolls out free technology and AI training programs

The Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB), in partnership with Brazil's Ministry of Health, opened registration for a free, fully online Artificial Intelligence course aimed at managers and leaders of the public health system (SUS). The program offers 3,000 slots and runs for 18 weeks, covering AI fundamentals, ethics, data security and strategic implementation for health services.

Separately, the city of Campina Grande announced 300 free vacancies for a range of technology courses, including computer maintenance, networking, programming, AI, cybersecurity and digital design. Classes will begin on 13 July at the municipal Science, Technology and Innovation Secretariat and target residents aged 16 and older.

Both initiatives are part of broader municipal and federal efforts to boost digital skills and expand access to technical education in the Brazilian state of Paraíba.
