Paraguay advances Bioceanic Corridor with new logistics park and industry analysis
Gustavo Troche, director of the Bioceanic Logistics Park, said construction is under way on a 40‑hectare facility in the Chaco region, near the intersection of the Ruta Transchaco and the Bioceanic Corridor in the Filadelfia district of Boquerón. The park will contain more than 280 lots and provide shared infrastructure such as truck parking, coworking space, meeting rooms, AI‑driven security, a 40,000‑cubic‑metre water reservoir, fiber‑optic links and power, aiming to let companies operate with minimal extra investment. The first phase is expected to be completed in about a year, with both Paraguayan and foreign clients already secured.
Separately, the Paraguayan Industrial Union (UIP) met with the president of the Institute for Rural Development and Land (Indert), Francisco Ruiz Díaz, to review the corridor’s potential to attract investment. Participants highlighted that the Bioceanic Corridor will link the Atlantic and Pacific oceans through Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina and Chile, with future physical integration of Bolivia, cutting transport times and expanding market access. They stressed that coordinated public‑private efforts will be essential to translate the infrastructure into new industrial, logistics and service projects that boost Paraguay’s competitiveness.
