Paraguay cattle market shows stability amid buyer caution

The replacement cattle market in Paraguay is experiencing a period of relative stability. While demand remains active across various categories, including heifers for confinement and steers, buyers are adopting a cautious approach toward pricing.

Market experts note that while business remains steady, prices are more conservative than the peaks seen months ago. This caution is attributed to the recent decline in the US dollar, which has impacted the purchasing power of fattening operators. Current price references for male weanlings under 180kg are approximately G. 22,500 to G. 23,000 per kilo, while wintering cows are trading between G. 13,000 and G. 13,500 per kilo.
